  • Internal use
    The fruits  are used for colds, influenza, scurvy, gastritis and to control diarrhoea,  urinary dysfunction, infertility,  and to regulate kidney function.
  • Properties
    The ripe fruits are astringent and acidic and contain flavonoids, tannins, carotenoids and volatile oil. (super high in vitamin C)
  • Directions for Use
    One to two teaspoons to one cup of boiling water. Brew for 10 minutes, strain and drink up to three times daily.

     

  • Description of the herb
    It is a deciduous scrub with pale to pink flowers followed by scarlet round to ovoid hips (the fruit).
