MILK KEFIR

WATER KEFIR

Water Kefir 

Water kefir is different in looks from milk Kefir it is like small rubber chips and these are usually cultured under pressure in a sealed kilner type jar Making it fizzy if required.These grains have been cultured to live and grow in organic Sugar And Water they are often referred to as Japanese Water Crystals, Tibiscos, Tibi along with many other names. Water Kefir is a Probiotic drink containing a complex structure of good bacteria and yeast.These can last for ever if cared for and you will be able to share these with your friends and Family. . a Probiotic drink that you can customise to your preferred recipes . Spare grains easily transfer on to pure pressed grape juice and most other natural fruit juice "without added preservatives.  once the kefir reaches your desired taste Strain the Grains pour the water kefir into ideally plastic bottles "you can add a quarter tsp of sugar to bottles to add lots of fizz ". Optional

fit tight lid leave somewhere warm till bottles are firm / charged with gas usually 48 hours. do this if fizzy kefir is required. Once bottles at firm move to fridge and store till required.

Water kefir can be strained and drunk immediately without the measures above  its up to you 

You can add the grains to more sugar water and start again. 

Water kefir grains can seem slow to respond in a few cases this is always caused by the different mediums used by purchaser eg sugar and water etc and ambient temperature. Although the grains  always make water kefir. The don't always grow consistanly they are affected by seasonal changes light levels water quality and preservatives on fruit. Like rearing and using any probiotic cultures don't change your method to often.it can take 36 hours for any bubbles  to appear  in the first week patience Is nearly always the answer.
